  17. PTF 447 is part of the PTF 445 series for HostPrint 1.1.  If HostPrint is
  18. installed on a NetWare 4.0x server, please download PTF 447 together with PTF
  19. 445 and PTF 448.  If HostPrint is installed on a NetWare 3.x server, you do
  20. not need PTF 447.

  49.      Installation Instructions:

  51.      1.   Create a directory on the server called PATCH.
  52.  
  53.      2.   Create the following three subdirectories under the PATCH directory:

  55.                DISK1
  56.                DISK2
  57.                DISK3
  58.                DISK4
  59.  
  60.      3.   Unzip PTF445.EXE into the DISK1 subdirectory.
  61.  
  62.      4.   Unzip PTF446.EXE into the DISK2 subdirectory.
  63.  
  64.      5.   Unzip PTF447.EXE into the DISK3 subdirectory.
  65.  
  66.      6.   Unzip PTF448.EXE into the DISK4 subdirectory.

  68.      7.   The server must be active; however, COMMEXEC.NLM must not be
  69.           running.
  70.  
  71.           a.   Issue the UNLOAD HOSTPRT (If already loaded) command.
  72.           b.   Issue the CSDOWN command.
  73.           c.   Issue the UNLOAD COMMEXEC command.
  74.           d.   Load Install.
  75.           e.   Select the "Products" option.
  76.           f.   Press the INSert key.
  77.           g.   Enter the correct path to the DISK1 directory, the Install
  78.                program will install the appropriate files from DISK2 or DISK3
  79.                directory as applicable.

  83.                     SYS:\PATCH\DISK1

  85.                INSTALL will inform you when installation of the PTF series is
  86.                complete.

  88.      8.   Verify installation of the PTF 445 series using the following steps:
  89.  
  90.           a.   Load Install.
  91.           b.   Select the "Products" option.
  92.           c.   Make sure HostPrint is now at Version 1.10.8.
  93.  
  94.      9.   Log in to the NetWare HostPrint server as ADMIN.  Ensure you are in
  95.           the same Bindery Context as the file server where HostPrint is
  96.           installed.
  97.  
  98.      10.  Follow the configuration procedure outlined in the NetWare HostPrint
  99.           1.1 Administration Guide and the Quick Configuration card that apply
  100.           to NetWare 4.0 users.

  102.           a.   PRINTDEF: Refer to the NetWare HostPrint Administration Guide,
  103.                starting on page 2-19, STEP NO.4 and follow the program
  104.                prompts.
  105.      
  106.           b.   PRINTCON: Refer to the NetWare HostPrint Administration Guide,
  107.                starting on page 2-23 and follow the program prompts.

  109.      11.  If you will be managing HostPrint from within Windows, read the
  110.           information in the PTF448.TXT file.

  112.      IMPORTANT NOTES:
  113.  
  114.           The PRINTDEF database file is called PRINTDEF.DAT and is created in
  115.           the SYS:\PUBLIC subdirectory when PRINTDEF is executed.
  116.  
  117.           The PRINTCON database file is called PRINTJOB.DAT and is created in
  118.           the SYS:\PUBLIC subdirectory when PRINTCON is executed.
  119.  
  120.           After installing this PTF, you will be required to log in as ADMIN
  121.           to any server to which you want to send HostPrint print files.

  123.      Patch History:

  125.      The PTF 445 series is the first HostPrint 1.1 patch.
